This last weekends black bear encounter...

Mom and her cubs decided to rest on this fallen log, eventually settling in for a nice long nap

Haven't posted in a while, so here are a few from this year. First, a Louisiana black bear with her coy:

At the end of June, a buddy and I drove to Yellowstone (1600 miles, 2+ days each way). We arrived at Grand Teton N.P. and entered through Moran Junction. Even though we still needed to get to West Yellowstone, I couldn't resist pulling onto Pacific Creek Road. So, within 15 minutes of entering the park, we were rewarded with a close viewing of bear 610 and her cubs (all taken from my car):
