Perhaps with people having the controllers in hand it will stop a bit of buyers remorse with some people and prevent them cancelling pre-orders as easily.

I am interested in the PS5 too as I’ve owned every previous version but I’ll wait for the price to drop slightly first. Mainly interested in the new Gran Turismo

As long as its better the GT on teh PS4. What a let down

More a7c family stuff.

Having the a7c is making appreciate the FE 35 1.8 more. It's not the greatest in terms of rendering, but its really fun to shoot with on the a7c and the AF on this combo is really good. Real time tracking is actually useable. Real time tracking on the a7rIV is unreliable for people.

GT sport on ps4 was terrible. Seems they tried to cater more towards online play but the core game got stripped down big time.

For racing sims, I've been more of a Forza fan for a while now. There are very few reasons for me to care about the Xbox these days, but Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon are great. Really love how Forza Horizon captures car culture and the spirit of driving for fun...plus the soundtracks are awesome!

It is funny. I got the Sony for eye AF and then when I started using it I used to have issues with AF when using the real time tracking. Now I don't see them as I am using the BBF and AF-ON button for eye-AF on my A7rIV. This was recommended by folks here. So with that option, there is nothing wrong with A7rIV, isn't it? Size yes but to me it is small already.

On a side note, I have been looking at my older pictures from Canon days and want to pick up another 35mm as I miss what a fast 35mm can do. How much difference is there between the Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art and the f1.2 option? f1.4 is almost half the price.

I find with the a7riv that the real time tracking jumps off the eye too frequently and the hit rate is not as high as using dedicated eye-AF. It took me a lot of misfocused shots to figure this out. With the a7c, the eye-AF is stickier in general, and with real time tracking, it doesn't jump off the eye as much.

With regards to Sigma 35 options...the f1.2 rendering is a lot nicer. The OG 35 1.4 has a kind of gritty rendering with nervous bokeh, whereas the f1.2 has a bit more muted rendering and very smooth bokeh. The Sigma 35 1.2 is effing big and heavy though, which is why I also own the FE 35 1.8.

Finally completed my birding kit over the last couple of days with the arrival of the Sony 200-600 so I went out today as a dedicated "birder" day, unfortunately most of the migrants have already left so there was not much to shoot but I had a great time nevertheless.
Come across this guy who was hunting squirrels and didn't really pay much attention to me.
