After hours of pursuit I had to wade in the long grass at the edge of a swamp full of poisonous snakes and hungry crocodiles for this picture. Did you move to down under?

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Congratulations on the new acquisition. Thanks, Neal, I look forward to really putting the R5 to serious shooting sessions. It's such a different camera from my 5D IV in so many ways it's going to take awhile to get to know fully and to get the most out of it. Just before receiving the camera, my backyard, where I shot about 95% of all bird photos this summer, had about 2 dozen birds feeding from 10 feeders. Strangely, as soon as I received the camera, they were all gone. I was also glued to my TV to follow the election. So, instead of shooting, I spent all that time learning and programming the camera while watching TV. Birds still haven't come back except for some doves and few others yesterday, so a quick test shots before they all flew away again. Now that the election is over, I'm planning on getting out of the house to spend some time with the camera. It's definitely something to get used to coming from a DSLR. I wished it was built (and button layouts) like 5D IV. It felt more like an electronic toy. Even the scroll button felt cheap compared to 5D IV. Battery was draining like crazy. But its new AF system is just so far superior to the 5D IV that it's going to allow me to do things that I wasn't able to with the 5D IV.
