I've never seen a platypus, but I've always thought that they are such interesting animals. I know they must be difficult to really photograph, because they are in the water most of the time you see them.

Mike they're elusive characters and more so in a dam.
In creeks they're easier to see up close and in clear waters they are a delight to watch.

We went for an early morning walk through our local Toohey Forest when we heard the mating grunts of a male Koala.:-)

Upon tracing the grunts to a small area in the forest, we finally found him, perched some 20 metres up the tree. Not a lady was in sight, but he did look quite sleepy; pleasant dreams maybe?:-)
