I know, probably the easiest bird to capture - it just sits still, never moving and always lets you get really close, but I thought I'd post a recent shot anyway. :lol:

Seriously, this just shows how powerful the 500+500PF combo is. I had a fraction of a second to point and shoot as it flew by and got 2 good frames - the second one is my favorite.

You really got close to that Sowbunting. Were you covered up in any way? I have had encounters with Snowbuntings, but not ever this close!

A group of five were feeding on a pier and pretty much ignoring me. Maybe they were tired from their journey crossing Lake Erie. I laid down on the ground and just started firing away :-D
