In creeks they're easier to see up close and in clear waters they are a delight to watch. Adding that there is concern for their well being with numbers dwindling. Just don’t go trying to pick one up. They (males I believe) have a venomous spur on their hind feet. Not life threatening but supposed to be extremely painful. Neal
