Got my very first Osprey this evening. Was excited like a teenager on a first date! By the breakwater (Abu Dhabi corniche). As I walked to it the sun was in front of me about an hour and half to setting. He watched me as I took a few shots and then walked to the other side to get the sun behind me. I'd say I was 15-20ft away from the weather station mast he was perched on. FE200-600mm

Looking at me son? :-D

Our Tasmanian Native Hens have bred profusely and the two resident 'pets' near the house have 4 chickens.
They are quite used to my presence and a real pleasure to watch
Every now and then a parent makes a low grunt and a chick runs up to grab whatever is on offer - they eat grass.
