Both kids are looking great Eddie! Callum is starting to transition away from that "baby boy" look to more of a nice young man!

Awesome capture Neal.
What's your opinion on the Sony 200-600mm lens?
Happy trails.

Thanks very much Paul.
I like it very much. I used to have the sigma 150-600 C. I love this one. The fact that the zoom is internal is fantastic. Works wonderfully well with the A9 and is fast. I've used it with the 1.4TC and 2X as well. For birding I would only use the 1.4 if I needed. Wasn't good with the 2X specially for BIF. The 2X is great for moon shots on tripod. The weight can be an issue over long periods if hand held.

A couple of shots from a campervan trip with the kids last month. These were taken fairly close together but the sun was being blocked differently in both, hence the different colours on the sand.

I think both shots are nicely lit, both back and side lighting.

Is the I-S-L in Isla pronounced like they are in the words island or isle where the 's' is silent?

Thanks Cory! Yes he is indeed. It’s amazing how fast they change. I was actually thinking the same about your two when you posted recent surf pics

What is the new system that you purchased?

It is one from MicroCenter, it is a built gaming system, but not a name brand case of brand, which saved me a bunch of bucks...it is a PowerSpec G464. it has an AMD Ryzen 9 12 core processor, and 8GB AMD radeon graphics card and 32GB of RAM that I will eventually double to 64. It has an M.2 SSD main drive and slots for another M.2, and slots for 2 SSD and 2 HDD...it rips...I batched out a 1500 image 4K timelapse today, the image export took 20 minutes...that is less than my old machine used to take to do a 400 image set. I am very happy with it so far. I was going to build my own with similar specs and this one was less expensive and has some nifty little add ons that would have cost me more...so it made sense.

I think it has good potential, but to me it is very dark and needs some better definition between the sky and city.

Thanks Gene, I decided against raising the shadows on the naturally shaded side.

With regards to Isla the s is silent like you say. It’s pronounced like you would say Isle (or island depending on how you say it but some people seem to say eye-land and it’s not eye-la if you get what I mean)

Thanks for clarifying the correct pronunciation of her name Eddie. I'd hate to get it wrong if we should ever meet. :-)

Oh, I meant to mention this earlier. My DNA ethnicity was recently updated and it now appears I'm 48% Scots. That would be from a paternal great-grandmother who was born in Dundee, Forfarshire, Scotland (Baird, Haxton) and a maternal great-grandfather whose ancestor came from Inverness-Shire, Scotland around 1716 (McPherson).

Interesting history Gene! Dundee is officially Scotland’s sunniest city which is saying a lot :).

@28mm • 1/6 • f/11 • ISO 1600

Try it again @ 70mm in portrait mode / iso 50 / f8 / 30sec from a tripod / bracket your all your shots 3 to 5 images.

Great city for cityscapes, as well as Dubai. I would love to photograph from top of the sky scrappers in the clouds.

Great bang for the buck. I dont think one can build one with theses kind of specs for less. As you say, bring it to 64GB ram and your golden
