Death Valley was great. Camped on the side of the road no problem. Left early due to a huge windstorm but may return at the end of the week on our way home.

Great bang for the buck. I dont think one can build one with theses kind of specs for less. As you say, bring it to 64GB ram and your golden

so far nothing I have done has taxed the RAM that much. I priced out all of the components and yes, it was more than the list price for this off the shelf. And there is the added benefit of unbox it...and go. no hassles...now if i could just find my SpyderPro...vmad, probably time to update and buy a new version.

It is one from MicroCenter, it is a built gaming system, but not a name brand case of brand, which saved me a bunch of bucks...it is a PowerSpec G464. it has an AMD Ryzen 9 12 core processor, and 8GB AMD radeon graphics card and 32GB of RAM that I will eventually double to 64. It has an M.2 SSD main drive and slots for another M.2, and slots for 2 SSD and 2 HDD...it rips...I batched out a 1500 image 4K timelapse today, the image export took 20 minutes...that is less than my old machine used to take to do a 400 image set. I am very happy with it so far. I was going to build my own with similar specs and this one was less expensive and has some nifty little add ons that would have cost me more...so it made sense.

I think it has good potential, but to me it is very dark and needs some better definition between the sky and city.

Thank you Travis appreciate the feedback. Will work on this. I did find that when I processed the image it was on a black background which makes it lighter. But when I posted it realised its not what I expected.

I am not able to see much. I would have done it on a tripod at lowest ISO.

Bianchi wrote in post #19150257 (external link)
@28mm • 1/6 • f/11 • ISO 1600

Try it again @ 70mm in portrait mode / iso 50 / f8 / 30sec from a tripod / bracket your all your shots 3 to 5 images.

Great city for cityscapes, as well as Dubai. I would love to photograph from top of the sky scrappers in the clouds.

Thank you both for this very much appreciated advice. Will go back and try again with those settings. My aim is to have just enough golden light at one end showing sunset and the darkness.

Just watch your metering as you transition from brighter to darker end when doing pano's. You'll just have to increase/decrease your shutter speed, depending which end you start at.

I don’t normally get too caught up in the spec rumours of bodies etc but SAR posted about A7IV specs and are saying 30-32 MP sensor, new menu system and if the a7c is anything to go by the AF will be great. I’ve always been on the “R” side of things for the resolution but this is the first non R that’s sparked my interest as a great all rounder as it still has decent MP but would hopefully have the better AF normally associated with lower resolution bodies with out the A9 price tag associated. I never upgraded my A7RIII to the IV and was going to skip a revision this time but this has sparked my interest

iPhones have Sony sensors so oh well.

My EB Games store opens at 7am and I’m first in line to pickup the PS5, 6 more minutes to go!

Nice knowing you all haha.

Picked this guy up this morning. I'm a Playstation fanboy at heart (SONY!), but like the design of this console and think gamepass is a one of the best thing to happen for gamers in a while.

Lots of technically wrong stuff in this photo. Need a softbox to light the console cleanly. Maybe one day.
