The human element really adds to this image.

I agree. I got another shot of them a few minutes later.

A similar deal to last year's insane EDU pricing is back. Looks like 20% off certain bodies and lenses. Happy Holidays everyone.

I’ve been getting deep into audiophile gear lately. Dreaming of a listening room in my house. It’s fun to research this stuff.

So warming! I need that too. The heat pump in the city house down since last Friday...my work week so just this afternoon got around to fixing it.
Woke up cold everyday this weekend.

Poof has taken the helm on re-decorating the cabin for retirement and hasn't picked up a camera in a while...sad as that sounds it means
I've gotten to play with the 100400GM on the Riv a couple of times.
Knowing what I know now, and post the latest Riv firmware update, if the house were burning I'd grab the Riv+100400 (and it would be nice
to have the 1.4TC) over the a9+200600G.
The only solid reason is size and weight and even with the 1.4 on you can pop into APSC for just crazy effective reach equaling the a9+1.4+200600
IF my math is close ;) Or just leave the TC off and pop into cropper and save that stop.

Yes indeed. I want to start out with a nice quality set of headphones and a DAC. I’d love to listen to Pink Floyd in hi-res. Maybe get some gear for Christmas.

I was curious about what types of music you preferred. Here's a Quadraphonic Mix of Pink Floyd's - The Dark Side of the Moon - 1973

It sounds excellent using my Sony wireless earbuds and the Dolby Atmos for headphones Spatial Sounds plugin for Windows 10.

That’s awesome Gene. I’m only discovering the great rock bands. Mark from Dire Straits is amazing. Just watched that Alchemy live performance of Sultan of Swing and wow it was incredible!!

I grew up on late 80's and early 90's rock and metal! Your Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Motley Crue type of stuff. Very recently I've rediscovered Ricky Warwick, he used to be frontman for The Almighty, and later Thin Lizzy I think. I saw him many many years ago supporting Def Leppard doing a fully solo, acoustic only set. Was really good!

I have been looking at and building a turntable/tube amp and DAC with a good set of over ears...then I had to buy a computer...I really want a turntable...that sound of a record...

Pink Floyd...my all time favorite band. I want to sit and listen to their collection on Vinyl.
