I definitely think that it’s seen better days! It looks like there is a hole in the hull at the bow and it is sitting so low in the water that I’m sure it is resting on the bottom.

They usually beach them where there is no stone harbour.

The Lodela, Ecluse du l'Eveque, nr Trebes, Canal du Midi . The ice was think enough for our friend Hugues, the owner, was able to walk around the peniche (barge) to do some painting!

Just another example of beaching Richard. It's quite common and it's as Stephano said, no harbour then the beach is used. This was at Brandscombe Beach, South Devon. That's close to one of my favourite place names, Beer 8-)8-):mrgreen:

In lots of places there are quite a few parked on the beach.
