So the calibration unit actively adjusts the monitor settings based on the ambient light in the room?

If so, then the issue I'm having right now is that I'm editing in an area that has a lot of window light...during the day its pretty bright in here. I have an LG ultrafine monitor that will torch up to 500nits, which is great when its bright, but there have been several occasions where I am editing when its a bit darker and when I look at the output later, the exposure is much darker than I was targeting.

I never ran monitors on high brightness. I keep shaded on my computer room and the BenQ came with addition shades to block light.

An early Christmas present to me.

I used my Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f1.2 lens for this one.

Nice one Gene and Merry Christmas ! This image warms me up just looking at it. I'm more of a Lagavulin guy myself but I have enjoyed my fair share of Glenlivet in my time:lol:

By far my most favorite car at the track last weekend...Graphite Blue MEtallic 911 GT3, full cage, uncorked exhaust and a big wang on the back..every time it went by my knees got a little weak...

I've been testing out the new Sigma 105 macro, mostly just around the house as I haven't had much of an opportunity to get out due to the overcast skies. This thing is super sharp and I'm really impressed with the bokeh given that it's a macro lens. Planning to head out tomorrow and do some real shooting.

I got to shoot with that lens a bit in the mountains a few weeks back, I liked it. I didn't like it for non-macro though, the OOF area was a bit busy and not pleasing to the eye. But for macro, it was great.

Thanks Travis. I've always liked that style of composing. I've never really been a f/16, focus stacking, full DOF type of person ;)

Interesting. I'm curious what the mid-distance bokeh looks like as well as sharpness at infinity, really hoping that I can use it for multiple purposes and not just macros stuff even though that is what specifically bought it for.

The bottle is a piece of art, hand made, no two are the same. It is mighty tasty too.
