I have been wearing out the new computer...editing every single night. 19 drivers from the track last weekend and got to start on the edits for a family shoot I did Monday. 3rd year in a row shooting this family. I think this is my favorite I have done for them.

Drove to Sonoma as weather was nice. Most of the vines are starting to go dormant. I wish I had more time to shoot.

For a shot like this, I need to try the following two options:

1. First see if I can do it with a TS-E lens. I would have to get left and right sides separately in focus and then merge the two images. So far in my tries, it seems hard. I can't get the individual side of vines in focus all the way to the back.

2. Try focus shift on my Fuji but that works only on GF lenses. I only tool MF lenses with me.

Here is an example of a different scene from the TS-E posted on the Fuji thread. https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19159067. I ended up tilting on the left side to make only one part in focus but that did make the plane of focus go deep right side into the frame. Still trying to figure out the Scheimpflug principle in the field.

Also. Took the gamble to go today with fog predicted but no fog in the city...... Soooooooo glad I did. I've never seen the usual woodland so nice. Spent 6 hours walking around there & nearly missed Sunday roast!! :-D

I love sourdough, I need to learn to make my own, both bread and pasta. What is the white stuff dusting on the top?

It is just the rice flour that I put in the banneton before putting the dough for over night proofing. My kids initially won't eat it but now they eat it all the time and even more so than the Japanese milk bread I used to make for them. During these times of staying home, this is one thing I learned. I had a few books and watched bunch of youtube videos but most make it over complicated that it needs to be. The following recipe is very easy and can handle if you miss to do a step as you busy in other things.

Thanks. Now a days I am buying 50lb of bread flour and it doesn't last that long.

I bookmarked it, maybe over Christmas break I can get a starter going...I suck at backing, so this could be interesting.

Another Eastern Bluebird from last week. They are still here, at least 7 of them. A bunch of birds right now, and the MErgansers are still at the lake, so the 200-600 might get loaned out again this week...

Beautiful shot! Hoping to get some shots of these guys next spring during the breeding season. Our local conservation area which I am a member of has a large number of Bluebird nesting boxes set out for them so hopefully they show up.

Most of the waterfowl have already migrated south but I was out yesterday and spotted two pairs of Hooded Merganzers, unfortunately didn't have the right equipment with me at the time:cry:
