Lucky to have this one hop from fence post to fence post for me this last weekend.

It's funny how sometimes they won't let you get anywhere near them and other times they will do what your bird did - land right next to you and let you take lots of photos!

Really cool shot. I have been wanting to capture more photos of hawks but generally it is hard to get close to them. With 300mm, were you fairly close?

Thank you. Yes, I was fairly close. I was in my vehicle on the opposite side of the road. Maybe 20 - 30 yards.

Great capture

He flew on me a couple of times, the first was from one fence post to another about 3-4 down the road. Then the second time, he flew into the field. That is when I got the second photo.
