A little Song Sparrow, they sit around the yard just singing their heart out and I enjoy the sound. The backyard is quite busy lately. There must have been a dozen birds out there last evening and this morning. It is cold too, 29 this morning.

Your background is a nice complement to your subject.

Thanks! our backyard is left to be wild, I don't really maintain it, but placed my posts and sticks where it works when I shoot. There is some yellow now this week, so hoping to catch some of that in the BG in the next couple days.

The weather today was so dull that I decided to go black and white.

The Northern Hawk Owl stayed still as one should in an old-fashioned portrait.

Thanks for the kind words,

One should try black and white every once in a while.
I almost forgot it already.

Sorry about the quality, but a so-so picture of a leucistic Northern Cardinal is better than none at all.
