Finally had a nice day and a great little play with the R5 on the beach today. Very happy with the results using 100-400mm II and 1.4x. Thsi thing just doesn't miss focus!

Any improvement in IS or IBIS would be more useful for that than the sensor noise, which is nothing revolutionary, noise-wise.

I used Topaz denoise after I PP in LR . IMO Topaz has really upped its game in last year or so with its AI plugins especially with "Denoise". In the early days it was pretty good as a third party app and on a par with LR or Capture One but now with its new Ai Denoise IMO its best of breed in noise reduction .
