A non bird visitor in the yard this morning...there were two of them...both younger females. FIrst time I have had the 200-600 when they show up...sure wish the buck would show, pretty good size one.

Took some photos of my brother and sister in law with their kids and chickens today. It was nice to get the strobe out and get some practice.

Nice. Very subtle use of your strobe, the image looks like none was used to me until I noticed the feint shadows.

That’s probably more to do with getting lucky more than knowing what I’m doing. I like using OCF but I don’t use it enough. I had to bump up the shadows on the family to get it to pop a little.

I mentioned the buck yesterday...he was passing through this morning while I was out in the back watching the birds. A solid 8 pointer, but one of the tines is busted...the rut must have been a little rough on him this year.

SAR reporting the 35GM is only a tiny bit bigger than the 24GM. Hopefully true. I doubt the price will be a tiny bit more though

Good looking pup Lee!

I haven't taken that many of our new guy yet. Here are a couple from last week. I tell ya...My last dog was brown. I never had to worry about blowing the highlights when taking pics of him. This guy is cream/white. I'm gonna have to be careful when shooting in the sun. I foresee a lot of shadow lifting!

He's since had the hair around his eyes trimmed! ;-)a I think he's gonna be a real good boy!

She's 11. I think - I've only been around for 6-7 years. She actually belongs to my other half but loves me just as much :) lol

Yours is VERY cute though!

And I know what you mean by the blown whites!!

Great shot pare.

My suggestion to this posing as taught by Jerry Ghionis...

Make sure the right foot of the guy is positioned beyond the woman's left foot and his left foot forward a little bit. that's to get a better/safer balance.
