This morning we did the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do. We said goodbye to Cleo.

She was truly as brave a fighter as she was a lover. She remained with us for a few weeks after she saw how the news her Vet gave us tore me apart, she tried to make me be ok before moving on. The hole in my, and my entire family’s, heart feels unfixable. In time, I know that will change, I just can’t imagine how right now.

The picture I’m sharing of her is how I will always remember her… Leaving nothing on the field, gasping for air, looking back with a gleam in her eyes, saying… “What a blast, let’s do it again!”

We will my baby girl, we will…

I love you more than words can tell.

So sorry for your loss, none dog owners don’t grasp how they become such loved parts of the family. Hope the hurt becomes easier, remember to think of the good times you had together.

May your beautiful dog be running free in beautiful pastures...and may you be reunited with her in another life.

Thank you both so much. I still expect to see her when I come in the front door, waiting for me to take her for a run...

Sorry for your loss, we also said goodbye to Addie our Standard Poodle on Christmas Day. She had either liver or pancreatic cancer that went undetected until it couldn't be hidden any longer.

She was the bane of squirrels, and as u can see, loved to dig.
