WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: Part 742 - Details

Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Details. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.


This week, let's look for the Details

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES

You are good with that Lens John. I don't think I'll ever be comfortable with it

Thanks joayne, its mostly hard for me cause severe lack of dof even at f16, and not very sharp (also no handhelds with it )

Some shooting Details.

Here I show the details shown on the surface of a local ripe pineapple

I've been working for several days trying to show the details best we can of a time in the past, over two thousand years ago, a drive through nativity scene, trying to be as realistic as possible. I've been mostly involved in building sets, obtaining natural materials from my farm and putting it altogether. We have built 12 different scenes, 40 people are actors, about the same number of live animals. Organizing the actors in the scenes with family members and many other details during these unusual times has been a large task, much I was able to avoid being involved in. This evening was rehearsal so I was able to take a few shots, my only chance as when the show begins I will be in traffic control.

Steve, your project is very interesting and is obviously a lot of work. I don't quite understand it. Are there 12 variants of the classic Holy Family tableau, with different actors and animals? The second photo doesn't look at all like one.

OhLook, not sure what I should share so tying to be careful I'll just say: It is made up of different scenes that show different times in the story, the first being a single mother than a single father, the census/tax man, a traveling couple, the Inn with no room, the stable, a castle, wise men traveling, then the group together, child as a two year old and the child learning carpentry skills as a 14 year old. Is this making any sense at all ?

Thanks, Steve, I get it now. Just one of those is the conventional nativity scene, the one in the stable. At least that's the one always displayed in public where I've seen it.
