^^^ I like everything about that photo but my eye is drawn to the hard shadow on his leg from the bat. Easy to clone out if necessary. Very nice!

Thank you! I started to and didn’t like what I was getting with healing brush and clone stamp. I’ll have to mess with it again.

Change the blend mode in the brush to lighten and it will only impact the dark portion. :-)

I really like the photo and the stand!

Thanks. Those wheeled stands are awesome. Folks always talk about C-stands but I will say wheeled much better than C-stands. And Mathews better than Avenger.

Interested in your little lightstand "cart." Never saw that before...is it an actual product or a DIY thing? Can you provide any info? Thanks.

Built a simple light box with PVC tubes. Used a DIY softbox nylon fabric from some other project from years ago and simply draped over the top and the sides, then a paper roll is placed on top to roll down inside the box.

I've been happily going down the rabbit hole with a water drop setup and seeing what I can get as photos. While the learning curve is fairly steep, I'm enjoying the time doing these as each photo is different from the last, even with the same time settings on the drops. I've found this to be a great way to kill a whole afternoon

The results (that I'm willing to share)

The setup is an old enlarger stand surrounded by three flashes and the water dropping into a home built plex-glass container. The camera with a macro lens is on a tripod with the lens axis at water line level. Each of these splashs are about 1 ~ 1 1/2 inches high. It really looks like a lab experiment gone wrong.

I gelled the flashes to impart a little color to the water. Given the number of shots taken, I'm really glad this is digital rather than film, as the cost of developing would have been outrageous. As said before, I'm enjoying both the photos (the ones that come out) and the learning process. The difference of a millisecond can be a completely different photo.

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Regards
Rick

Agree. I used some wheeled stands outdoors. The wind picked up and they rolled away a bit. So keep that in mind. Sand bags...
