Taken with the RF 800mm lens. Uncropped, but otherwise processed. No noise reduction and standard LR sharpening.

Nice one. You have used 2 stacked 2X TCs or just one?
I have only 1.4X TC. So used M50 instead to gain some pixels.

Yes. This was taken using 2x(v2) + 2x(v3) + 100-400(v2). Giving 1600mm. Oh what I would give to borrow a 800/5.6 right about now.

Thanks.
I was wondering if the crop factor of 1.6x (using M50) would be better served than using R5.
I have a choice of using either.
Also I was thinking of using 400 f/5.6 for a bit lighter load.

What is your opinion?

I'd be thinking "pixel density"; not "crop factor".

All a "crop factor" does is discard more of a FF lens' image circle.

A few more shots from the weekend. Really hoping to see the RF version of the 100mm macro coming out sooner rather than later!
