So much details and very nice use of DOF.
How close did you get?

Thanks for those kind words, kartsahoo! I think I was ~30 ft away. The Shrike was hanging by a roadside feeder, which attracts voles as well as birds.

I have noticed that the Shrikes don't usually let you get very close. Cautious birds survive...
