As I said, it's nothing like the style that yours are shot in but because the song doesn't really have verses & a chorus & it's just one reel of lyrics he wanted the video to come across as one continuous take too.

https://youtu.be/YXEn9x66vlI (external link)

i like it, song and video .. the way it was shot definetly goes with the song, ..thanks for sharing.

I am way behind on getting a chance to check those out...nice work on these. Do you do the editing and compiling also?

yes i do the editing and compiling as well...
my son helps with the editing and culling though i ususally cut up the foundation for the video , while i'm not totally out of whats "in" these days as far as video and music goes i wont pretend to be as aware of the very latest as my son who is 22 and is very into music , especially underground scene , so i definitley take his word heavily into consideration for this , as well as the directing. . he's always sending videos of the latest trends before they go main stream,

---------------

Below is the music video i shot very recently, (images that i shared a few days ago).. 95% footage was from the a7siii, my fuji xt4 was used as a b cam though we ended up using very little of the footage,, and at the very end there is some footage shot with a vhs camera as well.

nothing was under iso 12,800 and maxed at 25,xxx.., i think i may be a hair under exposed in most shots, and only available lighting, which was mixed..i think image quality is clean considering all that..
i still need to get the a7s's custom buttons set up properly, for quicker changes and no menu diving.. though i admit its better now with the revised menu that sony gave us.

Really happy with the a7siii and i can imagine i;ll be happier once i have it all configured to my liking and have learned it all like the back of my hand.

**Warning.. probably not work safe due to language.

When I worked at MWD's Eastside Reservoir Project (now Diamond Valley Lake), I watched one of the contractors, Kiewit, conduct this safety demo of what can happen if you don't pay attention on the haul roads. These CAT 789B's and others used to run in trains constantly hauling material to both the East and West Dams that were built to contain 800,000 acre-feet of water.

(They took out all the glass and engine before the demo. ;-)a )

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone who celebrates! I was really fortunate this year and got a very unexpected sum of money that made gear upgrades a much easier thing to justify. You may notice some new metadata associated with my photos. ;-)a

Here are some shots from a local attraction called Old Car City USA that I finally made it out to. This place supposedly "contains the worlds largest known classic car junkyard" and it made for an awesome walking/photography day.

Absolutely thrilled with the A7RIII and new Sigma. Hope everyone is also enjoying some nice holiday surprises!

I wanted to drive up to this place a few weeks back but the google maps put me on a windy road and my younger one wanted to throw up so I had to take a U-turn and drive back home. Today I went up by myself. I was able to find a spot to park and shoot from right there. It was cloudy and not clear, but I got a few shots. Something like 100-400 would have been ideal.

Great shots! It reminds me of when we went to Twin Peaks in San Francisco. I get really bad travel sickness and as the car kept stopping and starting with the give ways being every single block I was ready to throw up by the time we reached the top...

I have suffered with motion sickness all my life and it seems now one of my kids has it too. Twin Peaks is nice, would like to go but now a days too many robberies etc. Someone even got killed a while back while out taking the shots.

Nice! Grizzly Peak?

Lawrence Hall of Science is a great place to shoot from up there as well.

Yes, I will go back again. This was my first time.

BTW - Anyone know if I should leave IBIS on or off when shooting from tripod with longer shutter speeds? I have now put it on 'My Menu'.

I was trying to find it when out shooting today and Sony's menu system doesn't make it easy to find things. Took a while to find how to disable the beep noise that camera makes on shutter press and when the timer kicks in. And for a $3500 camera, the menu system doesn't flip to portrait orientation when holding the camera like that. My 3 yr old Fuji makes my life easier by doing all these little things that most camera mfg don't think about. For example, it even lets me increase the font size so without glasses it is much easier to see the various settings. Sure EVF is 3.9 million vs 5.7 million but I haven't found that to be an issue.
