These CAT 789B's and others used to run in trains constantly hauling material to both the East and West Dams that were built to contain 800,000 acre-feet of water. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

I was really fortunate this year and got a very unexpected sum of money that made gear upgrades a much easier thing to justify. You may notice some new metadata associated with my photos. Today I went up by myself. I was able to find a spot to park and shoot from right there. It was cloudy and not clear, but I got a few shots. Something like 100-400 would have been ideal. Great shots! It reminds me of when we went to Twin Peaks in San Francisco. I get really bad travel sickness and as the car kept stopping and starting with the give ways being every single block I was ready to throw up by the time we reached the top... I have suffered with motion sickness all my life and it seems now one of my kids has it too. Twin Peaks is nice, would like to go but now a days too many robberies etc. Someone even got killed a while back while out taking the shots. Fuji XT-1, 18-55mm
