Somehow ended up with two 67mm cir-pol filters for usage which my 100L macro. I want to keep the better of the two and sell the other. Which should I keep? I believe both are nice filters!

I have always been happy with B&W filters. You can’t go wrong with the brand.

What's even weirder is a site that calls itself gearpatrol uses the word gadget instead.

IMO, definitely the B&W. B&W filters use special glass and also most, if not all are a brass mount which is my preference. Never had one get “stuck”.

Another B&W filter user here. I have used Hoya in the past as well but would choose B&W if I had to choose.

Agree, I've destroyed a couple of those Hoyas carefully cleaning them and damaging the coating, and they get stuck. I now have had a few of the B+W F-Pros in different sizes for years. They never get stuck, they're easy to clean with no coating damage and they let a lot more light through while still polarising it (only 1 - 1 1/3 stops reduction).

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Why not take the same picture with each, compare, and choose the one you like best?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I would be doing exactly the same thing, but then I'd just keep both because I know I would break one at some point.

Hoya HD line is great line of filters. B+W MRC is simply 'a bit gooder' due to its MRC coatings, the use of brass rings (which do not bind as badley as aluminum rings can in aluminum lens barrel threads.
