First year with two D500"s and one 500PF!
Almost a year ago I traded in a Canon 7DII with 400DOII for a Nikon D500+500PF.
I mistakenly sold the D500 after getting the Z7, but later on re-purchased the D500 and will likely never sell it again.
The D500+500PF combo has grown on me and it feels as if I have owned it for much longer than almost a year.
Although it is still not my ideal camera lens combo, I have enjoyed it tremendously and hope to do so for many more years.
In the nearby future I hope to add a 3kg 600/4 lens, and praise myself lucky that I live in this day of wildlife photography, because just as amazing as the 500PF is, is the fact that we can now enjoy a handholdable 600/4 lens that weighs only 3kg and can bring that extra bit of intimacy and extra bit of light when needed.
It is a bit of a mixed bag because knowing the camera market is in fierce decline, stiil there was never a better time to be into bird and wildlife photography.
Here are a few favorites from my first outings this year with the 500PF
