I have suffered with motion sickness all my life and it seems now one of my kids has it too. Twin Peaks is nice, would like to go but now a days too many robberies etc. Someone even got killed a while back while out taking the shots.

Yeah it’s an annoying this to have, makes long drives and flying a real pain. I remember reading about that which is why we went middle of the day and not at night so didn’t bother taking any photos either.

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone who celebrates! I was really fortunate this year and got a very unexpected sum of money that made gear upgrades a much easier thing to justify. You may notice some new metadata associated with my photos. ;-)a

Here are some shots from a local attraction called Old Car City USA that I finally made it out to. This place supposedly "contains the worlds largest known classic car junkyard" and it made for an awesome walking/photography day.

Absolutely thrilled with the A7RIII and new Sigma. Hope everyone is also enjoying some nice holiday

Congratulations on the camera Ben. Enjoy the holidays.

Tim

I've been away from the forum for a bit so missed this but sorry for your loss Pre. Really unfortunate for this to happen during COVID restrictions and also the holidays.

Thank you Pre. Merry Christmas!

Started a new project this week.

I so want to play in the big equipment.

Magnificent array of equipment.
Curious what the leading one is. A water cart (tanker) as we'd call them?
Couldn't think what else, but that's a lot of water to fill!

Yup a water tanker. Dust control and moisture content to get compaction on the soils. I have a raised Tank by the hydrant so while this runs and sprays that tank gets filled so that they can refill this faster.

One of the most important pieces of equipment in road building, but not as glamorous as other fancy stuff. Apart from yours posted :-P

Despite having only Christmas dinner for two this year, I still made my traditional appetizer, mushrooms stuffed with prosciutto, goat cheese, breadcrumbs and shallots. This is right before they go in the oven, and you can see my ham heating up in the oven in the background. Hoping everyone here, despite this crazy year, is having a nice holiday, and wishing good health to everybody. Cheers!

Beautiful expression!

Our Brit Casey passed away early Christmas morning. He spent almost 15 years with us so it has been a very sad Christmas for our family this year, we are missing him dearly.

Jose' I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost your dear friend. They are such a part of the family and it's so hard when they're longer with us. My condolences to you and your family.

Here's a shot of our new family member from yesterday. He's been with us now for going on 5 weeks. He's such a good boy!
