I shot this last week in the Denver, Colorado area. . I was glad that he turned his head to give me a brief look as he strutted briskly by, in pursuit of a doe.

Black-tailed doe that I photographed back in late summer. She was never nervous as I photographed her but this image captures the moment she first noticed I was there. She probably felt very safe in the thick vegetation that I had followed her into, eventually quietly slipping away.

My usual November plans did not pan out due to a failed truck transmission. Tried a new place closer to home.
