A few shots of the Santa specials from the "Tanfield Railway" in the north east of the UK which claims to be the oldest railway in the world LINK (external link) built to transport coal from the nearby pits.

SBB Cargo is of Swiss origin, with divisions in Germany, Italy and The Netherlands. Here BR 189288 leased from MRCE Displok is hauling a containertrain towards Kijfhoek, the largest shunting ramp in the country.

Went back through my archives from February 2015. I stopped by the Union Pacific West Colton yard after I had finished teaching my night class at the Chaffey College Fontana Center. These photos are hand held panning shots.

Conway Scenic Railway has completed it's maintenance on the 1921 Steamer 7470, and employed her to power their valley trains this weekend.
She's switching in the picture below.
