Here is an image I took back in the summer, a month or so after our first lockdown.
Durdle Door, is in Devon and on the south coast of the UK. It is about 1.5 hour drive for me, left about 11.30pm, got back about 4am.
Super chuffed I made the effort. Couldn't have timed it any better. The moon was just above the horizon behind me which put some light on the famous arch.
This is 10 images blended using starry landscape stacker, to allow the noise to be reduced etc.
My best Milky Way image by far, and possibly my best photo ever!
Don't really want to put it on Flickr, as I don't want people to be able to use it, and I'm hoping it might have a chance in a competition at some point.
Hope it still looks decent here, and hope you like it. :-D

Thats a beauty Gene! I've never seen a rainbow that colourful either! Is that your house? Asking as I can see a name on the kerb, or is that an added in post?

Thanks. I was surprised by how bright it was too. From a distance, the center almost looks white but up close, there is no white, just colors of the spectrum. I was also surprised to see how translucent the rainbow was too.

I took the photo from my driveway but I try to insert my name in my photos whenever I can, that's why I put my name where the house number at the curb across the street would go, reflection and all. :-)

Any opinions of Sigma 35mm f1/.4 art for Sony or wait for when there is a sale on the 35mm f1.2 version. What about Sigma 28mm f1.4? That would be in between 24mm and the 35mm focal lengths.

I have the Sigma 35 f1.4 Art originally for Canon but it works well with an adapter on my Sony gear. There is some fringing wide open but can be handled easily enough in Photoshop.

Here's an example of mine from some time ago taken at a local Civil War Reenactor event.

Thanks Gene. I used to have the Sigma for my Canon but sold it when I moved to Fuji. Only one I kept was the 85mm L. But now a days there are lof of options in the 85mm space. Just looking for something wider for family, kids shots as I am selling my Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 for now as I wasn't using it much.

There’s a lot of possibilities there. Sigma may release a DN version of the 35mm f/1.4 Art, there’s also the 35GM which is due to be released next.

I owned the 35mm Art in native E Mount and it was an amazing lens. For me lens size is important so if I had to buy one again, I’d personally go for the f/1.4 as the f/1.2 lens is too big and heavy for my liking.

Had a welcome relief from spending too much time indoors, and found this amazing barn owl in the local park. I literally had heard of it right now, although it had been some kind of a curiosity in the last few days at least. We were something like half a dozen photographers on it, and the owl posed for us for a long time. Here's one of the owl and having its evening appetizer (or could it have been its supper?). Enjoy.

With the ever amazing 70-350. Composing anything was a challenge, my hands felt like solid blocks of ice for most of the time I was shooting, was barely able to feel the buttons of my camera.

I also tried out my used a6000 in the field at the same time - though by the time I found the owl it was already too late for it, the battery had already run out. Given decent conditions, the a6000 certainly can produce good results, the color rendition is certainly pleasant, though I'm still very much on the fence with the handling, the whole thing is just too light and feels unbalanced. I'm wondering how the a6600 would feel with its bigger grip.

Drove out to one of my work sites today and much of the desert was covered in frost. Most of the time when I'm out here the temps are 100+ degrees (it was 21 degrees when I took these photos) so it was an interesting change of view for me.

Drove to SF today to take shots of the GG bridge. Having lived here for 30 yrs, this is probably my first time taking pictures which aren't snap shots. While setting up. I see this very nice sunset behind me. The visiting tourist were right outside the edges on both sides. Almost no processing except remove some dust spots. my C1 is actinbg up again, when I try to remove the spots, they don't disappear. Tamrom 28-200mm lens. One shot, I let the sun over-expose like you would see with the naked eye.

Golden Gate bridge using the Canon 24mm TSE-II and MC-11 adapter. The plan was to get the focus plane aligned with the bridge, which I couldn't figure out in the 15 mins or so that I had.

BTW - The sensor clean on these Sony camera is a joke. I am surprised not many people complain about it. My 3+ year old Fuji barely has one spot while the 1 yr old Sony in less than 1/4th the usage has so many of them.
