Ma
Ma is the term for a specific Japanese concept of negative space. In traditional Japanese arts and culture, ma refers to the artistic interpretation of an empty space, often holding as much importance as the rest of an artwork and focusing the viewer on the intention of negative space in an art piece.
There is much more to ma that meets the eye, as explained in this link:

I took this with the Nikon 1AW, which does not have a listing

An admirable composition. If only you could have lifted the cloud cover a bit higher over the tree . . .

I don't know anything. But I know other things.

Hi John:

Thanks for your appreciation and feedback. Actually, I chose to align the tree top with the cloud cover to get the contrast and make the shape of the tree top echo the shapes of the cloud edges. Still, your comment is appreciated and valid, for it reinforces the nature of art itself. :-)

Interesting. C3PO would be a good fit walking through that scene.

haha yeah kinda has a winter on Tatooine vibe.

Edit: been advised it's Hoth, not Tatooine. Apparently I have some movies to watch.
