Went out to Pt Reyes today, and was lucky to see this cat, albeit it was pretty far away, so a pretty heavy crop. I do solo trips up there all the time, so the pandemic hasn't really affected that, although it has been way more crowded than usual, which scares a lot of the critters away.

It's been a cold and rainy Southern California day today (46° for a high). There was a brief interlude of sunshine and I managed to capture this double rainbow. I don't think I've seen one this bright before. A small part of the rainbow, as well as part of the palm tree, can also be seen in a puddle in the street close to my position.

Here is an image I took back in the summer, a month or so after our first lockdown.
Durdle Door, is in Devon and on the south coast of the UK. It is about 1.5 hour drive for me, left about 11.30pm, got back about 4am.
Super chuffed I made the effort. Couldn't have timed it any better. The moon was just above the horizon behind me which put some light on the famous arch.
This is 10 images blended using starry landscape stacker, to allow the noise to be reduced etc.
My best Milky Way image by far, and possibly my best photo ever!
Don't really want to put it on Flickr, as I don't want people to be able to use it, and I'm hoping it might have a chance in a competition at some point.
Hope it still looks decent here, and hope you like it. :-D

I visit this/these annually at the same place. Not sure why they return or if it is even the same bird(s). There are two this year. Burrowing owls. They are small.

I was eye-level with this young fellow's "knees". He was standing on a gate blocked access road off the top of a lake dam. I was heading down on the main road.

Golden Gate bridge using the Canon 24mm TSE-II and MC-11 adapter. The plan was to get the focus plane aligned with the bridge, which I couldn't figure out in the 15 mins or so that I had.

Love that spot, nice image. The nice thing about the TSE is being able to stop down even further, and still get sharp images.

Planning to go out on New Year’s Day for sunrise. This year has been the least amount of landscape photos I’ve taken since starting photography due to Covid and separating etc so aiming to try and turn things around in the coming year and try and get the bug back.

Anyone else got any New Years resolutions of sorts?

I see 2021 as being my least productive year...my wife's health has gotten much worse, to the point that I am not really comfortable going out for a day now much less a few days. She has been placed on the liver transplant list now, so that is what 2021 will hopefully be all about.

Finish off all the chocolates and biscuits and get lean again :p

I have walked about 12-13 miles Monday and today though!

Well done though mate. Good attitude. Show us those snowy mountains!

I seem to remember an FB story or two that featured some snow and fog from you...holding out?

The snow images are in LR - I have finished 1. Maybe 2  :-D I am just very behind. I've been out 3 days in the past 4 so my camera to editing ratio is currently not good!

Fingers crossed a transplant comes up soon Travis.
