Only 3rd party is Tamron 28-75 2.8 etc. I love it. When I want more speed or less dof, I put on the Canon 1.4, but the Tamron is always connected to one of four cameras.

1. Sigma 24-70 EX DG f/2.8
2. Sigma 150 EX DG f/2.8 Macro
3. Sigma 10-20 EX DC

I adore all three of these lenses.

Time for a 2021 Update;

1) My most used 3rd party lens is Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 G2.
2) My most eye-popping/sharpest 3rd party lens is ^Ditto^
3) My most fun/creative 3rd party lens is a tie, Tamron 34-150mm f/2.8-f/4/SIGMA300-800mm

I do miss my old Sigma 12-24mm. Maybe some day I'll get the newer version.

Thank you, Jake, for reviving this thread. . A thread like this should never have gone dormant to begin with.

.
My only 3rd party lens is the Sigma 300-800mm ... a.k.a. "the Sigmonster"

I currently use the Sigmonster for about half of all my photography. . The Canon 100-400 is used for the other half.

The Sigmonster is the sharpest, must fun & creative, and the most used 3rd party lens I have, because it is the only 3rd party lens I have.

I wish Canon would make a 300-800mm zoom. . Or that Sigma would make an updated version that would be much lighter, and maybe have Image Stabilization (although I am ok with it not having IS).

Of course, I only use this lens on a tripod and full gimbal, except for the very rare times when shooting at ground level, when I may have it on a beanbag or just laying right on the ground. . My tripod / gimbal combo allows me to get the lens just 3 or 4 inches above the ground, so that's why I hardly ever use a beanbag or just lay it on the ground. . No need to, 99.9% of the time.

I may soon be adding another 3rd party lens to my lineup; the Sigma 105mm macro lens. . I don't have a macro lens now, but I am in the market for one, and the Siggy 105mm looks like it may be one of the best options available to me.

.

"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I honestly should have added that to the same lines as the 70-200mm, I do tend to use the 70-200m more for portrait work, but I use both all the time. I think it's the best 24070mm out there in EF mount.

2) Tamron SP 90mm 1.4
3) Tamron SP 90mm 1.4

Really enjoy these new Tammies... The Rok/Samyang 14mm is fun too... I just don't use it nearly as much as I should...
