Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Art Beneath Your Feet. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

I'm thinking things like plaques, or utilitarian items that are done in art form, Manhole Covers that have art/are art, Tile, Memorials... An exercise in looking down where you are walking... Art Beneath your Feet!

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Thank you Joayne. It is a new to me iPhone 6. My sister got a new one and sent me this one.
I am liking it so far, battery seems good. I do not use it online or anything like that. Just the
occasional call home when I am out and now the camera which is cool to have when I am
out and about.

Inset in the kitchen floor, one of two ameboid blobs I designed for our remodel in 2015. The material is Marmoleum.

At City Hall.. and not exactly beneath my feet, but people do walk and climb on these...

The water has been turned off since last March and it is taking a toll on the mosaic, as is the hard water in our community...

joayne, that's a nice lively example of public art. What's it like when the water is on? Is the light blue area underwater? Could be inconvenient, since that surface is about as high as the walkway.

Look, there is a drain all the way around the fountain.. You can see it in the first image. The blue is a foam material and very soft to walk on. The water covers the drain when it is running and the edge of the water varies as the fountain runs at an irregular flow. The drain is not at the edge of the water, but is actually underwater. The flow of the fountain is faster than the ability to drain,so a pool is created and is several inches deep. When this installation is running it is usually full of children.

I knew I should have taken a shot of the entire installation  I'll try to go back and get a shot and add it to this thread.
