Last remnants of sunset hitting the Bald Cypress trees at Lake O' the Pines. This area has benefitted from a concerted effort to clean up areas of the shore. I hadn't been to this particular spot for almost 10 years.

Shot with the RF 24-240

Thank you! It did. The previous time I was there was during the drought and there was no water. When the water came back up the shore was too overgrown. Now I have hip waders and most of the underbrush is gone.

Just returned from Turks and Caicos, back in early December.. this is the view from Sunset Beach. I was playing with things during post-processing and ended up with this blue version, i kind of like it.. What do you think the Blue or Orange version?

Exactly as Inspeqtor said.... I saw the blue version and was like HOLY COW that's amazing. Then I read the post and saw the bottom shot. Both are great, but the blue version is immediate striking!! NICE WORK!!!

The blue is different, and it works beautifully, so my vote goes for that.

Inspeqtor, 308Shooter and UncleJohn, Thanks You for your comments.. I was torn ... my wife thinks that the Blue version is "cheating"... so she never agrees when i do something "different"..

I preferred the other, but from its more natural look.
Agree with your wife's comment, but photography has never been 'honest' in that sense and subject to adulteration, creativity or whatever other term one chooses to use.
Eyes of the beholder is the 'norm'.

But what is honest in photography? The camera only sees, but the human mind sees and interprets. And we don't necessarily interpret in the same way what we see in a photo and what we would see looking at the subject. So what should the photographer do? Show what the lens sees, or what the mind sees? Both can be valid. If in doubt, why not we stop to think why we are taking that picture, and then decide accordingly. Or do it both ways, like in this case.

I don't know anything. But I know other things.
