Another beauty. I do wish the brighter 3 sticks at the bottom were 'burned' some so they weren't so prominent though.

Thanks :-) I did actually think about that..... :-D Decided against it in the end. Could give it a go later though..... :-)

I used the burn tool with highlights selected in PS CC 2021 to reduce the brightness on two branches below the stump in the center and one branch on the lower left.

A bit of color on a drab day.

I used my FE 100-40mm lens + 1.4 x extender as that was already mounted on my a9.

This one is for David A. This male Costas was kind enough to hang around long enough for me to put the FE 200-600mm lens on my a7RIV.

EDIT: I just realized I wasn't at 600mm for this shot. Somehow I bumped the ring and wound up at 481mm. -?

Spent the last two days at Valley of Fire State Park. They should really call it Valley of Wind. Awesome views all around.

The opposite style to Gene's image, but equally as good. Nice smooth shot.

Those little things are a beautiful colour, I wish we had them here! I've done the zoom ring bump thing a few times too on the 200-600, I wish it had a zoom lock on it!

This was inadvertently at 496mm

Very nice, Gene. The ring on this lens is easy to bump to 593mm. I suppose it's the short travel through the range maybe.
