Jan 21, 2021 17:31 | #1434 I also am moving from a 5D3 to the R6. Should arrive Monday. Regarding the Gear Database, I'm thinking the "R3" was supposed to be R6, but is a simple typo error. Anyone ask a Moderator about possibly changing it or adding the R6? Mark O.

Especially now with the R6 articulating screen. I put one on the screen of my R6. The protector is made of glass that is similar to cellphone screen protectors, and can be easily cleaned with lens cleaning solution and a cloth, without scratching the R6's screen. When properly installed, it's very difficult to tell that there is a screen protector in place.

Jan 21, 2021 21:51 | #1438 The R6 is like the illegitimate offspring of the Panasonic G9 and Canon 1Ds3 - two of my favourite cameras. The thing tracks action like nothing I've used before. Eye AF is astonishingly good and the body ergonomics are perfect for a die-hard DSLR bastard like myself. Well chuffed!

Looking forward to using it. Hopefully it snows a bit so I can get some nice BIF shots. Desire to learn; a camera & a few other things.

On this shot I wasn't paying attention to the lens aperture, so it was probably wide open. Auto ISO, 135mm f/2L. This is Nikki, aLab/husky mix. She's real sweet and very smart. I plant to take photos of the mushers and dogs at a local sled dog race (Alaska) in a couple of weeks, and still have to figure the best way to have the lead dogs (two to three of them) in focus. It was easy for me to do with a 7D, as I would move the focus point to the front of the pack. Maybe it will be even easier with the R6 with "expand AF area." I will have to wait and see ![]()
