Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is W, X, Y, Z. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Pick any or all... W, X, Y, Z

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Bravo, fotoi! This is unusual. Even gearheads rarely have X-ray machines.

It surprises me that the image makes most of the shell seem to be soft tissue.

Thank you. Yes, it may look like soft tissue, but of course it’s all shell (i.e. hard).

My daughter would absolutely love you. She is a shell fanatic and does trips specifically for shell hunting. She knows more about rare and difficult to find shells than anyone I've ever known.

That is awesome that she has something that she is so passionate about!

Have you ever thought of documenting her collection via photography? . I think it'd be pretty fun to photograph shells. . Probably a lot more to it than one would think.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Great idea, she is a "fil-m-ista" with her own dark room etc...... and would more than likely think I was trying to encroach digital into her fil-m space, in addition she lives pretty distant now.

I did get a few snaps while there over Thanksgiving. Please ignore the low shutter speed and camera shake, but I was new to the camera and coming from the 1DIV where 3200 was pushing the limit, 8,000 seemed crazy.

Coincidentally, she's a PA married to a Mayo Radiologist who could probably do the same with her shells.

ETA: Interesting this was shot at 8K ISO and the forum shows 6400. Must be rounding EXIF values to the nearest whole stop.

It was soft tissue and is now hollow...

Yummy... if you happen to like this sort of thing. In this case, Rebel Donuts. And yes, delicious!

The middle one is the prettiest doughnut I've seen. Luckily, I can't eat pictures. If I could, you'd have to keep reposting.
