in my experience, I really like the result of my CPL and stacking up to two additional filters up front ( i use the cokin x-pro line of filters )

Pardon the 7 month response, camarillo... Only used a Canon 52mm drop-in CPL for the 600L glass... It cut into the atmospheric haze quite well... Thank goodness for that... It added much needed contrast to the image... Photo was taken mid-morning (~9:30am), if I'm not mistaken, from Palos Verdes shoreline... Hope that helps!!!
