Very nice - where in the middle of the north Island? I am in Hastings ....

Thank you Rosey & also to avondale87 for providing you the info.

It's about 1.25 hours away from where I am in Rotorua.
Well worth a visit & don't forget to bring a picnic!

Beautiful
Lovely captures and magnificent and interesting landscape
Amazing how these form.

Thank you - it's a special place alright. You have to get a license to travel down the road to it (It's tribal Maori land but for $10 per vehicle it can be yours for a few hours) & from there it's a half-hour hike through beautiful forest on well laid tracks. We were there for about 3 hours & saw only two other couples.

I can see I am going to need to make a trip - maybe next year when I have some annual leave. Beautiful shots of beautiful falls.

While I'm a fan of the pretty long exposure waterfalls, every now and then I do appreciate a fast shutter to really show the power of water - especially when waters are running high!

beautiful
certainly a beautiful stretch of river.
I'm with you on that. This looks so natural and it's how the eye sees it. Appreciate its a very personal matter though. :-)
