I have never tried the shaggy ink cap, but it sounds really good

Come to think of it I've never tried the fly jobbie either

Tiny little mushrooms, about 8 mm diameter, growing out of a cleft in the trunk of a paperbark tree.

Tiny and beautiful things, but I wonder how huge the underground mycellius formation is?

The French have a wonderful system where all of the pharmacists are trained to recognise the different fungi. The idea is that you take any that you have found and not sure of into them and they will tell you about it. I believe this came about because the French eat such a lot of fungi, a boat load of what we here in the U.K. wouldn't touch. That's a shame because there are so many of them that are delicious. And some are NOT!

The giant puff ball is just one example that will very often just get kicked around like a football. It's one of my favourites

Two different fungi, not so beautiful as others in this thread, but I thought I post them anyway.

Beautiful. Don't do yourself short. Those slimy bubbly ones (top) are fascinating as is that moist succulent looking one below.
I really like that second one. It's so lifelike
