It's really hard to tell but it's a dam. It's not designed like a typical dam (or at least not the one that pops in my head).

I did wonder if it was impounded water body.
There appears to be an area between edge of water and vegetation that fits that scenario
That would make sense then.

Don, I know that you've posted this cabin (boat house?) before, but I can never get enough of it. I now know just where it is, and when I get that way again, I'll try to include that area in our travels.

Just a small nit on this shot. The rock center bottom kinda bothers me. Maybe either include more of it, or somehow eliminate it as it is distracting the eye away from that beautiful scene.
