This buck (the one with his head up) interested me because of his somewhat unusual antler on his left side.
Very nice shots of these two bucks, Teton!

These elk probably came out of the Bob Marshall. The border is only two or three miles away.
When we first spotted them, they were about a mile from the truck and when we stopped to look, they immediately got up and walked around the shoulder of the mountain to where they are in this picture.
The road curved around the mountain, and when we stopped again, we were a little over a mile and a half from the herd, and they weren't bothered by us at all when we stopped.
After several years of elk watching, it seems that the 1 1/2 mile distance is their comfort zone between them and motorized vehicles.
As near as we could estimate, there were close to 400 elk in this one herd. My photo doesn't show all.
It's amazing, the amount of elk in this herd. I never knew their herds could be so big.
Nice sharp close-up of this coot, fotoi! The colors in the water are beautiful.
Terrific capture, Tom! Beautifully composed.

This grizzly was on the Kananaskis Highway. I think we should radio collar and ear tag biologists and just observe the bears.
I agree with you, Teton. Very nice capture!
