I don't know about Georgia, but the Post Offices here are as safe as our grocery stores. I use Click-N-Ship, print the label at home, and my local USPS has a separate window for Click-N-Shop drop offs.

IIRC, some areas also have a PickUp option.

I don’t care how safe my local Post Office is. :)

I don’t need to sell/ship a lens right now; it can wait. The only reason I made the comment was merely out of curiosity if there are other sellers being as excessively cautious as me. The FM buy/sell market seems short on sellers lately, and I’m just curious as to why that is.

I suspect that many sellers are being cautious with the pandemic and all, but I wonder if there are economic factors as well.

I've been wanting to sell a motorcycle for some time, but am holding off due to the pandemic. I don't want to be dealing with buyers in person right now.

We get our second vaccination shot later this month, but I'll wait at least 3 weeks after that before I reconsider selling the motorcycle. The problem is they sell better in the Spring when the weather warms up, so I don't want to wait too long.

Try FM forum.

I did...pretty slim and nothing recent.

I didn’t realize you hadn’t bought one yet. The used market is indeed pretty slim on FM. Hope you find one. :)

This makes me curious if some others are as ridiculously overcautious as me: I’ve got a lens or two that I definitely plan to sell, but have been absolutely unwilling to take any unnecessary trips to the Post Office until this nightmare time is over. For example, I’m especially eager to post my 12-24G on FM so I can replace it with a Sigma 14-24, but that’s all postponed until after the vaccine is coursing through my veins.

Not yet but I am going back to zooms. Tired of fussing around with lens changes in the field...nearly dropped the 35Za into rocks and a creek a few weeks back...and tired of carrying 3 or 4 lenses to cover a range...I could go hiking for the day with just two.

Selling your Batis lenses? I like the idea of zooms for long hikes or overnight trips. Are you also getting a 24-105?

I will be selling the Batis18/25 and the 35 ZA. I will replace them with the 16-35 and 24-70GM. At some point I will add back the 35GM once the hype wears off.

I checked KEH, as usual, they are high for used lenses...at that price I will buy new and have full papers and warranty...

Primes are nice but my limited experience with landscapes shows zoom are much easier, especially for someone like me. I am not ultra wide person so don't have anything wider than 24mm for Sony (got 18mm FF equivalent on the GFX). Waiting to see what Fuji comes with. I prefer longer zooms and so far using tamron 28-200. I have been looking at the 100-400 but GM is quite expensive. I may go for the Sigma but need to read up more.

Fuji XT-1, 18-55mm
Sony A7rIV, , Tamron 28-200mm, Sigma 40mm f1.4 Art FE, Sony 85mm f1.8 FE, Sigma 105mm f1.4 Art FE
Fuji GFX50s, 23mm f4, 32-64mm, 45mm f2.8, 110mm f2, 120mm f4 macro
Canon 24mm TSE-II, 85mm f1.2 L II, 90mm TSE-II Macro, 300mm f2.8 IS I

I sold two items and had to visit the post office. Once it was pretty long lines. The next time, I went right when then open and almost no one. The availability is used items can be seasonable too. At my work I was seeing lot more 70-200mm f2.8 GM for sale that I joked did I miss some amazon sale. I tried to sell one of my Fuji GF lenses but no takers so decided to keep it for now.

Travis, have you considered the contax 35-70 at all? Or do you need AF in that range?

If it wasn't for the 40mm I'd have been all over that Contax I think.

I need the AF...since I also use them for video. And my eyesight sucks...lol.

Another more affordable AF option is the excellent Canon EF 16-35mm F/4L. It’s one of my all-time favorite lenses - even on a Sony camera. I’d like to buy another one for myself.

I have zero plans to sell my Loxia kit, but lens changes are really brutal if you’re shooting from a tripod and using ND filters - it’s just way way too much fiddly crap to deal with.

If anyone is still following along...Episode 27 went up today...I really miss travel...I can't wait to get back out there.

Finally got round to watching this Travis, good work. As well as being quite relaxing, it is also nice as people can get to know you a little more through your videos. :-)

I am done with adapters for anything other than a TSE..I will need the f/2.8 for astro since the Batis 18 will go...and f/4 just doesn't cut it in that arena for me.

I just find I end up "faffing about too much" as some call it...I end up missing the moment or not having the FL I want or need and don't want to drag a donkey along to carry my camera bag. Down to 2 lenses, maybe the 70-200 if the hike is not too hard and I can still bring the other things I need to accomplish what I want to.

Thanks for checking it out. Yep, a couple recent videos feature my ugly mug a bit more and are some insight into who I am and how I see photography.
