I LOVE pictures of lightning bolts.

I do not like pictures of tornadoes.

But it is a very good picture!

Not sure I'd like to be on the wrong end of either.
Only thing about distant lightning you see the action first hand. A distant tornado and you probably want a bunker.

I really wish I had one now, I am planning a trip with lots of rugged high peaks, and huge vistas, 17mm probably isn't going to be wide enough.
