Read a more, it seems a nice small but it is 20mm f2.8 so should be. Build looks good. Sharp, nice rendering, micro-contrast, sharp edge to edge that is most of my fuji lenses but they are bigger and much more $$. I should check this lens out. Looks MF only, which for landscape is fine. Does focus stacking work in that scenario or not? I am still holding for Fuji to release TS and then see which system I keep.

Yes it’s a MF lens. At f/5.6 you set the focus just before the hard stop for maximum sharpness front to back.

After looking at it on Flickr I can now see what is going on I think. This coming from the direction of 288?

Here's a map for reference. I was shooting from the top of Texas Medical Center garage 2. The main building in the frame of the photo is the UT nursing school south of the garage.

Fannin and the circular skybridge I think you're referencing is off to the east.

A 16mm GM was rumored not long ago, might be worth waiting for that.

I am so hoping.

I would love the AF kit of the 16 and 35. I do think the lox is gone in this scenario. If they dont do the 16 I do think I will shoot for the 12-24gm and then I will lose the lox and the cv10 -?

Still trying to convince myself I will need the CV 40 but that may go too. I am shooting Petroglyphs this weekend so the 40 will be in play!!!

Thanks Paul. Most of my recent works were from Fuji but I'm back to shooting Sony again. I'll share soon.

Fuji is great but it slows me down a bit. Plus the 12mp files from the 7SIII are just so easy to work with because of the file size.

Yeah when I had the 16-35GM, I used it at either 16mm or 35mm and not anywhere between which made me realize I could just own two light primes to make it easier. Sigma had patents for a DN 16mm lens but we still haven’t seen anything yet :(

Looks great Carlo. Have you thought about switching your 85GM to Sigma? Reviews show it’s impressively sharper, smaller and weighs less, and you’d have more color consistency.

I currently have a bag full of Sigma lenses in my BH shopping cart :p I’m wanting to switch out my 12-24 and Batis 85 to Sigma 14-24 and 85 along with adding the little 35/2 and the 105 macro.

BTW I decided to wait on ordering an a1...I’m going to get my workshop equipped first. And, frankly, I’m in a holding pattern on doing much photography until I get that vaccine.

I did think of switching the 85GM to Sigma at one point, but I'm pretty happy with GM for what its used for and I'd lose money on the trade swap.

I unintentionally became a Sigma fanboy over the past couple of years because of the stuff they brought to market. I currently have the Siggy 14-24, 35 1.2, 45 f2.8, 35 f2, and now 65 f2....really happy with all of them

Totally understandable on the A1! If you change your mind down the road, let me know.

Need some help with remote connectivity. Maybe it is just me but I am having hard time to control my A7RIV with my Phone. All I want is take a shot with camera stuck on a tall tripod. I have Bluetooth remote but that only lets me take a shot, I can't see where the camera is pointed. So I connect my phone to camera, now I can see camera screen on my phone. But again I can't move the damn focus point and can't focus. What good is phone control app if one can't focus or move the focus point. My focus is removed from shutter and on AEL button. Camera in AF-S mode. So after putting camera in AF-C mode, atleast the BT can focus (why can't it focus in AF-S mode, I don't know). But I can't move focus point. Anyone has any ideas?
