I loved that place. When I did some fisheries work there in the 1960s, we'd came to town and have dinner in the Chong Garden restaurant. Sometimes we'd bring along a couple of big walleye, one for them and the other one they'd cook for us. And then we'd play mahjong. Compared to the Chinese I was so slow that they called me Stationmaster because I held up the game. I haven't been there since, but maybe some day . . .

For the city itself, yes and no. But one thing for sure is that the beauty of the nature of the area hasn’t, that’s what I miss the most. I wish that I could get up there more to visit than what I do.
