We don't get to see the underside of trees very much, but this old path has some erosion along the edges...

My favourite tree stands at the eastern end of Durham Cathedral. The first shot shows it in it's wider setting, it's the one one the far left as you look. The second is taken with the Cathedral at my back, and the third on a cold winter's evening a while ago. There are no crowds as is usual in the first two shots as they were taken during the first covid lockdown here in the UK, but we were allowed out to exercise whilst observing distancing rules. (there is a lady in the first, but I didn't see her sneak in the shot!) The last shot is some foliage from it's base.
