Here is the bridge linking Canada and the US. What could I have done to improve this image? Should I bring the bridge more out of shadow?

Shoot in the daytime, perhaps?

It looks like a shot of the Sandwich Town sign. It took me a few moments to make out that there is a bridge in the background. The reflection off the utility wires muddies the scene. It looks like it was a pretty quiet evening. You might have waited for whatever vehicle caused the white and red streaks in the bottom left corner to depart the scene before tripping the shutter.

I'm in no way a pro and this is just how I see the photo.
I think the bridge is blurry probably due to high iso, if that is the case maybe use lower iso to clean it up a bit.
The silhouette of the trees are also a little distracting and the branch on the top left corner seems out of place. You may also want to straighten the bridge post vertically.

The subject is much clearer in the second shot. I second the motion on fixing the vertical on the bridge columns and cloning out the branch. As to the blurriness, I'm not sure that it's from high ISO. You didn't post the EXIF data or exposure details, so it's hard to say. However, the tree branches in the foreground are quite clear. I think that's where the camera focused, thereby rendering the bridge signage, in particular, as out of focus.

I appreciate the feedback :) I’ll fix this photo up. I think it was f/11 so everything should be in focus. It was also iso 100.
