Experimenting with macro image stacking, this one is a composite of 32 images shot at 20fps burst at f2.8 to achieve bigger depth of field.

From the aquarium this weekend. Gotta try this again; very difficult shooting macro on a moving object. My attempt with piranha teeth was a failure.

The resolution of the EOS 5DsR is still undiminished, even if there is new tech. This, taken hand-held, of a Papeda Tree fruit after a rare rain shower in my garden.
First the original shot:

Then severely cropped and processed:

I tried to jump on the 5DS when the prices dropped, but I was late to the game (or my wallet was). I shoot at 2:1 macro a lot & could not imagine the crop ability of that camera. Thanks for sharing.

I spent $25 to build a dual macro flash setup for my R6, using two TT350 Godox baby flashes and a transmitter so that I can get even lighting across my macro shots of small items I am selling. Here is the result, and it looks pretty ugly but it is light and easy to work with for changing angles of the flash (above or below the subject, the arc of the diffuser laying between the two flashes, etc.

Any other setup is hard to control when I have the gear perpendicular to things like coins, etc. This works well, with few shadows, just enough to create contrast. Including is a 100% crop...

I actually got mine second-hand. A new one in NZ is $6,500, so I was interested to see one for sale, immaculate, 4k shutter count, with box, battery grip, Cards, and 4 spare batteries for $2,200. The owner was a Chinese gentleman who got the camera thinking it would be the start of a new hobby for him. His wife than had triplets and priorities changed, so the camera was sold off.

I checked it out and everything was legitimate, so I got it and have not regretted that ever since.
