cruggleton church, near garlieston, a 12th century church built to serve the nearby clifftop castle and surroundings. privately owned on estate land and abandoned around 1890. if only that door handle could speak.

Whithorn Priory, built circa 1100 fro the Premonstratensian monks and later became the cathedral church of Galloway. Best of all, it's only a mile from where I now live!

I posted a shot in the "Silhouettes" thread recently that was a matter of being on the Palace Green at Durham Cathedral with a camera in hand and being able to get the shot that had presented it'self. I said I'd post the flip side of chance shots in this thread. From the first idea of the following shots it took a couple of years to get them. The limiting factors were time of year/height of the sun, time of day, no cloud, being able to attend etc etc. Of course it could have taken longer, or never happened at all!
